New Year's Resolution #2,547 Get Back To The Blog

Wet n' Wild "Believe Me, It's Real" glitter topcoat over Sinful Colors "All Mighty".

I always try to have blue polish on my nails for New Year's Eve because of this nail polish by Maybelline "New Year's Blues" that came out ten years ago. It was one of my first "different" polishes in my collection.

I bought it because it was deep blue with tiny silver glitter in it. I never thought about how it was in complete contrast to it's name. I did some research and New Year's "blues" can mean 1) The Great Depression was at it's height in December or 2) the end of year and the expectations you had for yourself with the previous resolutions. Sounds festive, doesn't it!?

I rarely try to make resolutions because I've found that they rarely pan out. Stuff happens, situations change, circumstances change. I should toast "New Year's Guidelines!" next NYE. Be happy, sleep better & be humble.




Dear Dream Journal;
I had an awesome dream last night. They did live auditions for Saturday Night Live and I was cast! They handed me, what looked like a giant map. It had every sketch mapped & personalized. I missed my first sketch because the page gave it to me too late. My 2nd sketch killed, even though I almost forgot my lines. (in my dream, they didn't use cue cards, lol)
My first line was "Me? My email is Why.you.think.you.can.call.me@get lost.com". (real snl "humor" authenticity right there)
Jon Hamm was the host. I mulled over everything when I reluctantly awakened. I watch too much Netflix.
